Filinvest Alabang, Inc. (FAI), the company behind award-winning mixed-use development Filinvest City in Alabang and some of the most premier residential and office developments in the Metro South, has once again reached a major milestone as it recently bagged the highly coveted Gold Stevie Award in the Real Estate Category at the 17th Annual International Business Awards. It is honored and humbled to be among the select few to receive the award from the numerous nominations that were received worldwide.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide—public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small—are eligible to submit nominations. The 2020 IBAs received entries from organizations in 63 nations and territories.
Filinvest Alabang, Inc. has always been forging ahead in the real estate industry with its sustainable, future-ready vertical and horizontal projects. The prestigious Gold Stevie Award is yet another testament to its commitment to build developments that are carefully masterplanned, only utilizing people-centric, environmentally responsible best practices.
“The deliberate mindfulness to be future-proof is part of our thrust to incorporate practical designs in all our projects. And our manner of property development with forethought has now become more relevant given today’s global health and economic crisis,” notes Catherine Ilagan, president of Filinvest Alabang, Inc. “We consciously integrate features that support wellness and sustainability because we believe that building with compassion for both people and the planet is key to creating resilient, thriving communities.”
Filinvest Alabang Inc. has reaped accolades for several of its projects and most notable is that of Filinvest City’s. The 244-hectare township is the first central business district in the country and the largest estate in Southeast Asia to be certified under the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold version four Neighborhood Development Plan green communities program. Within this booming township are other LEED-certified buildings that have followed suit. But beyond township building, Filinvest Alabang Inc. has also attained success in other prestigious developments. Botanika Nature Residences, a residential condominium, takes pride in a four-star green building under the Philippine Building for Ecologically Responsive Design Excellence (BERDE) rating program. Equally impressive is Parkway Corporate Center, its first office-for-sale development, which has been certified for LEED Core and Shell (CS) v4.
Botanika Nature Residences and Parkway Corporate Center also earned other honors in the 2020 Asia Pacific Property Awards, receiving five-star ratings as the Philippines’ Best Sustainable Residential Development and Best Office Development, respectively. Likewise, Filinvest City has also been recognized by the same award-giving body as Best Mixed Used Development in the country. All these have supported and validated the relevance and market acceptance of Filinvest Alabang Inc.’s developments.
Even with the current normal, Filinvest Alabang Inc. has proved that it competently addresses the needs of locators, investors, residents, and other end-users. Its forward-looking masterplans have allowed it to unfalteringly provide a holistic live-work-play lifestyle and improve the quality of living in its communities. This year, amid the global pandemic, Filinvest Alabang Inc. has also forged a partnership with global enterprise Mitsubishi Corporation for a Php 15-billion joint venture for world-class office towers to be developed in the heart of Filinvest City.
Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 250 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process from July through early September. As the ongoing COVID-19 crisis will prevent winners from receiving their awards on stage during a traditional gala IBA banquet, winners will be celebrated instead during a virtual ceremony on December 1, 2020.
