SM City Baguio and TSS Baguio turnover Bears of Joy and Share-A-Toy donations to BGHMC and BeGH
With the participation of mall goers to the SM City Baguio’s Bears of Joy and The SM Store’s (TSS) Share-A-Toy programs, their kind donations have been turned over to Baguio General Hospital Medical Center (BGHMC) Advisory Council and to Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) on January 7, 2022.
200 Bears and 500 toys were turned over to BGHMC Advisory Board represented by chairperson Ramlabhaya Sharma, and advisory board special project committee chairperson Stella De Guia in front of the Baguio Museum. The donations will be given and distributed safely to the chosen benefactors such as BGHMC and indigent communities.
117 Bears and 460 toys were given to the BeGH represented by Chief of Hospital Dr. Maria Imelda C. Ulep and nurses working at the pediatric unit.
The Bears of Joy is a long-running charity program of SM Cares, SM Supermalls, and Toy Kingdom which aims to give children in need bear plushies to spread the holiday cheers. The bears donated feature designs inspired by the four of the most common interests and hobbies that many Filipinos took up significantly during the pandemic: Cookie the Baker Bear, Sunny the Plant Lover Bear, Cammy the Vlogger Bear, and Journey the Biker Bear.
TSS’ Share-A-Toy is a program that starts mid-November to the end of December, and encourages customers to spread the joyous season by donating new or pre-loved toys at their designated booths in all the branches nationwide. And for every donation, shoppers received a Php 50 discount coupon. The toys will be then collected, sorted, and donated to selected beneficiaries.
