SM CITY GRAND CENTRAL HOSTS JOB FAIR AHEAD OF HOLIDAY SEASON
With the holiday season fast approaching, SM City Grand Central recently hosted a job fair aimed at connecting job seekers with employers eager to bolster their workforce in time for the Christmas rush. Held at the 5th level of the mall, the event attracted a diverse group of applicants, offering more than 4,308 job opportunities across various sectors.
The job fair, which was attended by 50 companies, highlighted the critical need for a robust workforce during the holiday season. Employers from retail, hospitality, logistics, and other service sectors were on the lookout for candidates to fill roles such as sales associates, customer service representatives, warehouse staff, and even management positions.
“We understand the importance of the holiday season, not just for businesses but for Filipino families,” said Engr. Christian Bryan Umali, SM City Grand Central Mall Manager. “By working with these organizations, we aim to provide thousands of job opportunities that help bring the festive spirit while supporting individuals in securing meaningful employment,” Engr. Umali added.
Preliminary reports show that 114 job seekers were hired on the spot, with many more expected to receive offers in the coming days.
SM City Grand Central’s job fair is one of several initiatives aimed at supporting the local economy, helping individuals find work while giving businesses the workforce they need to thrive during the festive season. As companies brace for the busiest time of the year, the event underscored the mall’s role in driving both employment and economic resilience within the community.
