SM CITY NORTH EDSA SAFETY SEAL CEREMONIAL AWARDING

Last June 5, 2021, SM City North EDSA named as the first Mall in Quezon City to receive the “Safety Seal” certification through thorough implementation and strict compliance of government-mandated Covid-19 safety and health protocols.

The Safety Seal certification program is a collective effort of several government agencies. The agencies who spearheaded this program are DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment), DOH (Department of Health), DILG (Department of the Interior and Local Government), DOT (Department of Tourism) and DTI (Department of Trade and Industry). The program aims to continuously safeguard the consumers’ well-being while safely reopening and boosting the country’s economy.  

Safe malling in SM City North EDSA can be experienced by every mall goer in every touchpoint,providing heightened Covid-19 health measures to its operation. Implementation of Kyusipass and other health and safety protocols are all in place. And just recently, the mall partnered with Quezon City LGU for a safe and convenient vaccination site against Covid-19. 

Most of the stores in SM North Edsa has the safety seal certification already. It will only take time for all the stores in SM North Edsa to receive their Safety Seal Certification. 

Important persons graced the ceremony who proudly handed over the safety seal certification to SM North Edsa. Hon. Mayor Joy Belmonte, DILG Undersecretary Joseph Malaya and DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez attended the ceremony and informed everyone of the importance of the Safety Seal Certification. 

 Meanwhile, other SM Malls in Quezon City including SM City Fairview, SM Novaliches, SM Sta. Mesa and Cherry Congressional also expressed their readiness for the said certification.
