You see them rollin’, go check out and buy them!
SM Supermalls’ Farmers Produce Markets is back! And it’s now bigger and better!
In time for Farmers’ Month, SM Supermalls will put the spotlight on farmers and food producers from the 13 regions all over the Philippines through the Kadiwa Rolling Farmers’ Produce Market.
SM Supermalls is set to transform the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds into a massive hub for all things fresh and unique in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture’s Kadiwa on Wheels. And starting April 29 to May 1, the rolling markets will be at the MOA Concert Grounds from 7AM to 6PM, offering a variety of summer fruits and produce; and seedlings, spices, and ornamentals to the shoppers.
“We are delighted to bring back the Farmers’ Produce Markets this year with bigger goals in mind. Now that the government has opened up the economy, we want to make sure that our farmers and food producers are our priority as we bounce back. Leading them and their products directly to the consumers has always been our goal in this endeavor,” said SM Supermalls President Steven Tan.
Farmers’ Produce, which was launched back in July 2020, is a joint project between SM Supermalls, the Department of Agriculture (DA), and Resto PH, an association of restaurants in the Philippines. This year, the weekend market at the SM MOA concert grounds will feature regional products available for retail including fruits, vegetables, spices, agri-based processed products, seedlings, and ornamentals.
SM Supermalls’ MSME tenants are also invited to join the biggest rolling market yet. In total, 14 four and six-wheeler trucks will be stationed at the MOA Concert Grounds to accommodate the farmers, food producers, and the MSME tenants who will be there at the rolling markets.
Since last year, SM Supermalls’ Farmers’ Produce Market Caravans have helped thousands of DA farmers and food producers to bounce back from the pandemic. They were given free spaces inside the SM malls to display and sell their products to shoppers and restaurateurs.
So if you’re thinking of what to do or where to go this weekend, drop by the Kadiwa Rolling Farmers’ Produce Market at the MOA Concert Grounds. Bring your family, friends, and your furry babies, too, and check out some of the freshest and unique food finds that they offer.
